How I Manifested My Husband

When I was 15 I read an article in Cosmopolitan magazine about how to manifest your lover/partner/husband.

Dolly was more suited to my age group but I was always older than my years so the magazine for twenty somethings (Cosmo) was my rag of choice.

Anyway, the article said to write a list of your dream partner’s traits and qualities as well as their physical characteristics and then put it in a wardrobe and forget about it.

Well, my best friend and I decided to write our list.

At fifteen, there are some funny things that turn you on. For example I wrote ‘has to be a bit arrogant.’ HAHA! Gross, hey?

We wrote other really specific things such as where they lived, what they did for work, eye colour, hair colour, height, interests, ethnicity and so much more.

Then, I put my list in my wardrobe and forgot about it.

I don’t really remember how long after this list I met Nick but I was 15 when I met him so it couldn’t have been more than a year.

We met online and spoke for a few months over the phone before we met in person (and before you think I met some old online creepy predator, I will just let you know, he was also a teenager at the time—I wrote his age in my list!)

I also don’t really remember when I thought of that list sitting in my wardrobe but one day I looked for it and reading it back was the weirdest thing ever!

EVERY.SINGLE.THING on the list was true.

Brown eyes, tick.

Arrogant (yuck) tick.

Good looking, tick.

And so on and so on.

I wish I knew where it was now so I could take a photo and show you!

Nick is now my husband and while we haven’t been together since we were 15, because that would be crazy, we did meet at a very young age!

That was definitely my first experience with MANIFESTING and I tell you, now whenever I really want something in my life, I manifest. Or set goals if manifesting sounds too woo woo for you.

I like lists and ticking things off them but there are other ways you can try this for yourself such as
• VISION BOARDS; Set your date that you want your goal achieved by and then cut pictures out of magazines, print images off Google, pin up key words and put it somewhere you can look at it every day. Like maybe your bedroom or your office.

• LISTS; This one is my personal favourite because there’s something so satisfying about ticking things off lists. Be really specific about what you write. For example if you are trying to manifest a job you want, write where it is, what date you will get it, what it pays, how many people work there etc, etc.

• JOURNAL ENTRIES; Write as if you are already living your dreams as if it was your reality. So if you are manifesting living in a dream beach house, write about a day in your life, for example;
‘’I woke up today and could hear the waves and the sea breeze. I got up and made myself a coffee in my gorgeous kitchen overlooking the beach and decided to get dressed and go for a walk. I will clean this amazing four bedroom beach house when I get home.’’ And continue, writing really descriptively about it all.

Now I would love for you to tell me if you have other examples of manifesting or goal setting? And if you have a story of when you manifested something? Let me know in the comments below!
